Parafest 2008 ©

On Tuesday the 8th of April 2008 the organisers of Parafest received an email from a lady in Africa, this email and its content made us feel very overwhelmed at her love for and understanding of Spirit and we felt the need to share this with you as she has asked, we hope you too feel the love within its words :

As I lay upon the grassy bank near to my home, I could hear the sounds of the crickets busying themselves as darkness fell, the sky was so very clear this night and the myriads of stars that shone so brightly gave to me a sense of calm, they brought to me a sense of tranquillity, a sense of realisation at how fortunate I truly was in all that I had and owned.

 

I live in a small village situated near to Gweru in Zimbabwe, our lifestyle is modest and we are more fortunate than many of our brothers and sisters in other regions, for we have a readily supply of running water, food supplies and medical attention, my children are also receiving a good education, but it was not always like this as I am sure you are aware, for our lands were once very barren and dry but at last we now see the green of the grass and trees once again returning to us. Water was carried for many miles at one time by my children brought to us daily, but we now see hope in our lives.

 

Many will say our good fortune has come from the work of the many who do good for us, the many volunteers who have come to live amongst us and work with us, but I have always placed my deepest trust in the power of  and love of Spirit, and as I lay watching the stars this is brought home to me more so.

 

As a child I was always able to see Spirits and speak to them, my mother told me never to speak of this as I would be killed but it was I felt a gift that even my Grandmother had possessed and she often spoke to me from Spirit giving me comfort and guidance through life. Now I can read much material written by many people about Spirit and the Spirit World and I feel so inspired by the experiences of others.

 

I often now receive clear visions from Spirit in my dreams, they have spoken to me of the time in which not only where I live but of the World as a whole and how it is changing as many more people seek out a more spiritual and humble pathway and the importance of sharing these dreams with others. At first I was fearful to speak openly of what they had told to me, but they told to me to not be afraid as they would watch over me and protect me and so I now do speak openly of Spirit and the words they give to me.

 

 This has caused at times much discord amongst those around me, in fact one man beat me to the ground calling me a witch, but that very night he too was visited by Spirit, his father as he later told me, he was in fear but came to me to apologise and now he works and teaches alongside me.

 

I write this letter to you and ask that you may share this with the many, for now that I am able to use a computer at where I work, I was told of what it is you are doing for Spirit in your Parafest. I have visited your website and felt much love and inspiration written within, I felt the same sense of calm and of tranquillity from the words within as I do when I watch the many stars in the night sky and know that you too are inspired by Spirit in what it is you do.

 

May the love of Spirit continue to bless you as it has done so for me, and may all who read my words be as inspired as am I to strive to accept Spirit and help to change our world together.
